Questions Contractors Ask
How much does bookkeeping cost?
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $249/month with fixed pricing. Your exact rate depends on transaction volume and how much cleanup the file needs — you get the number before you commit.
Do you work in QuickBooks Online?
Yes. We are in QBO daily. We can clean up an existing file, migrate you over, or set one up from scratch.
Can you clean up messy books?
Absolutely. Catch-up and cleanup are two of our most common projects. We get the books current and accurate first, then maintain them monthly.
Do you work with my trade?
Yes — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, concrete, framing, solar, remodeling and general contractors.
Do you replace my CPA?
We complement them. Clean, tax-ready books year-round eliminate the seasonal cleanup scramble, and we coordinate with your CPA directly.
How quickly can we get started?
Most contractors are onboarded within a week of the first call.
How is this different from bookkeeping software?
Software records what you type in. It will not tell you that a job was coded to the wrong cost code, that retainage is sitting in the wrong account, or that your margin looks fine only because a subcontractor bill has not been entered yet. We catch those.
I already have a bookkeeper. Do I still need you?
Often yes, and we’re glad to work alongside them. A bookkeeper records transactions. We make sure the work is job-costed correctly, that the tax positions behind those numbers hold up, and that a CPA has reviewed the file before it becomes a return.
